HOW TO MAXIMIZE THE SUCCESS OF YOUR FUNDRAISER!
KEEP IT SIMPLE! KEEP
FOCUSSED! KEEP IT FUN!
A covering letter will personalize the fundraiser
to your group. State how will the money be used….people are more
likely to participate if they know what they are raising the $$$ for.
Set a target for the goal amount of $$ to be raised. Keep it front and
centre; we recommend a selling period of two weeks so participants do
not procrastinate. Daily announcements can serve as reminders or recognition
for special efforts
Motivate your participants—offer
individual & group rewards.
Group rewards can be a crazy hair day or pajama day at school; one
school uses these rewards for each school-wide goal level reached; i.e.
sell 400 pails = hat day, 500 pails = pajama day, sports day or an event
like pizza or an outing for the top selling class…1 principal
offered to dye her hair pink if the school sold 1,000 pails of cookie
dough ( they sold 968!!)
Individual rewards can be as simple recognition
of the top seller on daily announcements or at an assembly; some schools
canvass among their populations for large donated prizes, others provide
daily tallies and small dollar store prizes awarded every day of the
campaign. We provide a 10 inch giant cookie medal reading #1 for the
top seller in each group. Additional cookie rewards can be ordered at
a small charge.
